Merci Beaucoup Montreal

Business Luncheon

Friends of Publisher of Mosaic Edition, Edward Akinwunmi and Haitian born music sensation Nelo Chouloute came together recently for a business luncheon and networking at a reception in Montreal.

The event was to introduce Mosaic Edition multicultural newspaper and Mosaic Edition on-line to the Montreal audience. In addition, musical talent Nelo Chouloute used the occasion to inform of his project featuring remixing of his debut CD and video production to go with the music.

Edward Akinwunmi said he was delighted to visit Montreal for the first time and appreciated the cordial reception accorded him. He noted that the publication started in the Niagara Region adding that since publishing on-line, Mosaic Edition had been attracting attention in the multicultural, immigration, settlement and integration sectors across the country.

He hoped the relationship being forged with Montreal would enrich the content of Mosaic Edition.

Nelo’s eclectic stage act was first noticed by the publisher during a performance at the Black History Month (FESTIVEBENE) organized by SOFIFRAN in Welland, Niagara Region. Nelo Chouloute brought the crowd to their feet with his powerful rendition of songs in Creole at a time when Haiti was going through the aftermath of the devastating earthquake, which killed over 200,000 people January 12, 2010.

His song was powerful it drew cheers and visible emotions from Haitians and non-Haitians. He sings in French, Creole and English. Nelo has the velvet and powerful voice to accompany his lyrics laced with social and political commentary.

During the business luncheon Nelo led a birthday song for the publisher of Mosaic Edition whose birthday coincided with the visit.

Nelo advised his fans to clear their calendar for December 11, 2011 for the launch of his remixed music and musical video in Montreal.
